Hunky Punks Wallpaper

Originating as a linocut, the first drops of this design were hand printed onto lining paper and shown at exhibitions during 2022. Now printed in three colourways on beautiful parchment-like textured paper, it features Somerset Hunky Punks frolicking in that most West Country of motifs, the apple tree.

Hunky Punk is the colloquial name in Somerset and wider Wessex for the stone carved creatures found on the buttresses of Late Gothic churches and are a bit like gargoyles, or more accurately, grotesques. It's thought that they represent the balance of good and evil to remind worshippers that they tread the line between piety and temptation.

Hunky Punks is printed on FSC approved uncoated non woven paper, which makes it higher strength with better tear resistance, particularly when wet. Non woven coverings are easier to install and remove from the wall than paper as you paste the wall not the paper. They have a thicker feel than paper and appear more textile-like in appearance. They are also spongeable for cleaning, peelable and have excellent light fastness.

Shipping is free to the UK. Rolls are made to order and lead time for delivery is generally around 14 days but up to 21. Please be sure to include your telephone number when completing checkout as this will be used by the courier to update you of your delivery day and time.

Import duties are included in the price and paid before being shipped, but please be aware that this doesn’t cover any local handling duties for your state or that USPS may impose. Please note that each roll is made to order and lead time is up to 28 days for delivery.
